Many of us already feel the weight of 2025 and Donald Trump’s administration. He came in like a wrecking ball (Miley Cyrus voice) and made good on his campaign promises. The MAGA agenda is to upend federal agencies, regulations, and any law that gets in its way—even the United States Constitution. Unsurprisingly, American corporations like Target quickly folded from fear of rising tariffs and lower profits. 

I’ve unfollowed many online platforms that churn out an endless cycle of “breaking news.” Shit is bleak, and I don’t need a thousand reminders. Plus, I’m triggered by our inability to formulate and focus on a long-term plan. As Angela Davis said, freedom is a constant struggle. Our need to fight didn’t begin with Donald Trump, and it won’t end when he’s evicted from the White House. I refuse to spend the next four years reacting to every incidence of hatred that he and his corporate and political cronies dispense. 

Instead, I’ve decided to seek out news and historical sources to help me understand the world. I’ve also been watching mindless trash TV with my sisters. Nothing builds bonds like celebrity gossip. I mean, have you seen WAGS to Riches on Netflix?!!!
